Woodsgate Guest House, Pembury

With grateful thanks to Steve Thwaites for the copies of these photographs of Woodsgate Guest House and filling station that his grand parents ran in the 1930's and 1940's. It gives us an interesting insight in to what the building looked like internally and also a 'behind the scenes' view.

Those of you familiar with this part of the village will know that the Texaco filling station and Woodsgate Way now stand on the site of this building and grounds. There are hints that behind the frontage of the building was a very old building indeed.
