Hastings Road looking towards the Green. Wesleyan Chapel built in 1884, was sold as a residence in about 1967

Woodsgate corner, showing the Woodsgate Coaching House on the right of the picture.

The Upper Church of St Peter on Hastings Road near to the green. Built as a chapel in 1847. The 92 foor high steeple was removed in 1984 as it had become dangerous.

Nothing remains of this building, the site is now occupied I think by the Texaco garage and Woodsgate Way? Although more local people might be able to confirm or correct this.
