The Pembury Village News is delivered direct each quarter to households in Pembury, currently over 2,300 addresses. It is also sent to decision makers and opinion formers throughout the borough and county. In 2004 part colour printing enhanced the News considerably, drawing many compliments and requests for additional copies, thus increasing distribution levels. In 2005 the magazine was printed entirely in colour which made it a much more attractive and professional looking magazine.

Our 2001 survey revealed a very positive feeling about the News; 99% read most or all of every issue, 95% found the content mostly or very interesting and 97% found the appearance good or very good. Recent comments have reinforced these findings.

During December and early January, advertisers and potential advertisers are invited to participate in this locally targeted, quality printed publication. Four issues are produced each year: Spring (March), Summer (June), Autumn (September) and Winter (December). We ask advertisers to take up their advertising for a year (4 issues) starting with the Spring issue with payment being made in advance.

The rates for 2008 are:

If during the year advertisers wish to change their advertisement during the agreed run, then there will be a charge to reflect this, currently £20.00. The Parish Council reserves the right to amend this charge, without prior notice, should the cost of such changes be more than this.

Advertisement copy details

Electronic - We prefer to receive copy in electronic format, as either .jpg or .pdf files. Please note that these universal formats are the only ones we can accept. Please send direct to the Editor at pvn@pembury.org

Paper - If you are sending in paper copy please ensure that it is clear and printed on a high resolution printer in ‘Best’ quality. If you have a special font style, logo, etc. please provide us with a sharp, clear sample.

Other - If you are an individual and do not have a set advertisement and would like us to design a simple text one for you, please let us have all the details either typewritten or in clear handwriting.

Although we will take every care to reproduce your advertisement as submitted to us, we may for production reasons need to slightly amend it. We will only do this if absolutely necessary. By placing your order with us, you agree to us doing this.

Pembury Village News copy deadlines are: 1 May, 10 August, 1 November, 1 February.
